It is reported that local producers in Europe are still keeping prices unchanged in South Europe.
But it is learnt that they producers are booking open orders, similar to HR, with understanding of a possible adjustment at delivery time depending on market development.
It seems that demand during last week was drastically decreasing with distributors being able to resell very small quantities.
On the other hand plate offers from India producers are now being given at levels around EUR 570 per tonne to EUR 580 per tonne CFR FO basis in the Mediterranean and South Europe area and EUR 600 per tonne to EUR to 605 CFR FO basis in the North Europe vie Antwerp.
