World crude steel output falls by 24% in January

According to statistics released by the World Steel Association (worldsteel), global crude steel in January totaled 85.768 million tons, decreased by 24 percent compared with the same month of last year.

Japan’s production was 6.37 million tons, down by 37.8 percent compared to the same time last year. Korea’s production dropped by 25.6 percent to 3.47 million tons. And the total production of the 27 countries of EU down by 45.9 percent to 9.549 million tons. Source:Yieh.com
