After the price hike of ￥500~￥1,000/ton on February, Tokyo Steel has announced to raise the prices further on February 16th.
The company has decided to increase the purchase prices of scrap in its five subsidiaries by ￥500/ton.
After the new price hike, the scrap prices in Okayama are at ￥40,000~￥39,500/ton; that in Kyushu plant is at ￥39,000/ton; that in Takamatsu plant is at ￥37,500/ton; that in Tahara plant is at ￥38,500/ton~￥39,000/ton and that in Utsunomiya is at ￥38,500/ton.
