The first hybrid carbon composite rebar mill in Iran has been put into operation in Yazd city in southern part of the country.
Hybrid carbon composite rebars are 89% lighter than normal steel rebars.
These rebars are insulant against acid and base, corrosion resistant, dielectric, adamant against earthquake and have low thermal conductivity ratio. Composite rebars lifetime are also 15 times more than normal steel rebars.
"This plant has production capacity of 2.4m t/y and by inauguration of this mill 85 new job opportunities in this city will be generated" Mr. Khaksari, CEO of this plant said.
