According to the Commerce Department, China’s domestic coal price has rebounded since the end of December of last year, resulted from the coal production cut and the increase demand of the market.
The coal price is expected to continue its upward trend. From January 12 to 19 2009, the coal price rises by 0.4% compared with last week and by 3.3% compared with the same time in last month.
Experts suggest that there is still some room for the coal price to soar in a short period of time, but it’s difficult to rebound sharply because of the influence of weak economy and low industry demand.
