In the end of the last week local Italian market stabilized and even displays some signs of recover. After five weeks of fall only high grades moved down a bit while quotation of other scrap metals grades are stable.So scrap of E8 grade is sold for EUR 270-290 ($374-402) per ton, which is a little bit lower than EUR 280-290 per ton last week. Shredded E40 is stable at EUR 260-270 per ton. E3 behaves the same way, quotations are at the same level, EUR 240-250 per ton. The market players are speaking about possible price moves up, as buyers in other regions expected to be more active due to the cold season coming.
