As reported by World Steel Association, Iran has produced 951.000 tones of crude steel in August 2010 which shows 8.9 % rise compared to the same month last year and up by 28.9% compared to August 2008.
During first 8 months of 2010, Iran crude steel production increased around 2.6% compared to last year and reached 7.750 m tones, up by 18.6% against August 2008.
In 2009, Iran became 16th steel producer in the world, up 3 steps from a year before.
