It is reported that steel scrap in Italy has lost additional EUR 10 per tonne to EUR 15 per tonne, thus bringing the total slide to about EUR 30 per tonne since mid of last week.
Billets are not yet at USD 550 per tonne CFR FO but no one is buying at USD 570 per tonne.
De bars are now at a base price of EUR 240 per tonne EXW, ie EUR 440 effective with very little business.
Merchant bars are at EUR 230 per tonne EXW, ie EUR 510 per tonne to EUR 530 per tonne effective.
