Turkish scrap steel import price keeps rising this week. Recently, Turkey based mills bought 18,000 tonnes of P&S scrap with price at USD 405 pert tonne CFR and 25,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 MIX scrap at the price of USD 385 per tonne CFR.
In the meantime, they also imported 24,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 MIX and 8000 tonnes of the shredded scrap from Europe with price standing at USD 377 per tonne to USD 387 per tonne CFR. They also shipped in 25,000 tonnes of shredded scrap from America at USD 390 per tonne CFR.
The import quotation also continues advancing. It goes at USD 395 per tonne to USD 400 per tonne CFR for American HMS 1&2 MIC and USD 400 per tonne to USD 405 per tonne for the shredded. Suppliers from CIS countries are seeking to raise export price to Turkey too. They plan to lift A3 scrap price to USD 390 per tonne CFR from USD 380 per tonne CFR last week.
