Persian Gulf Mining & Metal Industries Special Zone has the potential for US$ 4.1 billion worth of investment which can be used in sections such as steel, aluminum, zinc and power plants in the region.
It’s reported that private sector is very active in these projects. These projects will add around 10 million tones to Iran’s annual steel production capacity. Kaveh Steel, Saba Steel, Madkush pellet making project are part of mining industry projects in Persian Gulf region. After establishment these mills will create around 11,000 jobs at first stage.
