Brazilian exports of iron ore has rose by about 20 percent from 117 million tons in the first half of 2009 to 141 million tons in the first three months this year.
Although China has reduced their purchase of iron ore by 17 million tons this year, Brazil’s iron ore still marked a growth.
This year, China has imported 65.7 million tons of iron ore, a drop from 82.7 million tons in the first half of 2009.
The second largest buyer, Japan, has imported about 17.5 million tons this year from 8.86 million tons last year.
