Iran steel market Trend in Week 09th   , 2021

Billet

Due to the market recession and ambiguity in authorities’ policies, there was no desire to buy billet in Iran domestic market, so its price remained stable at an average of USD484/mt ex-work including VAT.

Long Products

Lack of demand made rebar market quiet and prices didn’t change significantly during the week from USD 540/mt to just USD539/mt by end of the week.

Market inventory level and higher supply level from Esfahan Steel co also didn’t let I-beam market change significantly. Its average price started the week at USD 556/mt and finished at USD 543/mt.

Flat Products

HRC thickness 2 mm was traded at USD 888 /mt on last Saturday, which did not change until the weekend. Other HRC items were at an unchanged price. HRC demand is approaching its minimum level.

Due to weak demand, oxin co HRP price decreased slightly from USD 1024/mt to USD 1002/mt, but its market inventory is limited and does not allow further reductions.

Kavian co HRP faced with a price improvement due to its supply control, from USD 780/mt to USD 787/mt ex-work including VAT.

CRC experienced a slight decline from USD 1144/mt to USD 1135/mt. Demand for this product has reached its lowest point, but its price cannot be reduced much due to supply constraints.

HDG market had an almost stable trend and changed from USD1138/mt to USD1134/mt by end of the week.
