Southern European scrap prices have decreased by EUR 40 per tonne since the beginning of May.
The current Southern European heavy scrap prices vary between EUR 260 to EUR 290 per tonne newly produced scrap and shredded ones are between EUR 290 to EUR 320 per tonne.
Market participants believe the weak demand will cause another EUR 10 to EUR 20 per tonne down in June.
