Turkey’s government has announced to increase import duty by 8 percent on flat products, among which HRC from 5 percent to 13 percent, CRC from 6 percent to 14 percent, coated sheet from 12 percent to 15 percent, hot-dipped galvanized sheet from 14 percent to 15 percent, HRC for cold-roller from 3 percent to 5 percent.
Turkey is a net importer of flat products with annual import quantity of about 7 million tons, among them Russia and Ukraine are the two largest suppliers.
