Chinese imported iron ore stocks at ports increase to 68 million tonnes- 03 May 10

It is reported that stockpiles of imported iron ore at China''s major ports reached 68.02 million tonnes this week, up 420,000 tonnes since last week.

Australia ore reached 21.13 million tonnes, 110,000 tonnes higher than last week

Brazilian ores ended the week at 17.11 million tonnes, down 240,000 tonnes.

Indian ores stood at 16.85 million tonnes, up 400,000 tonnes over the week

China''s port stockpiles have remained at more than 65 million tonnes since the second half of 2008, when prices began to plummet as a result of the turmoil sweeping through

global financial markets.
