Indian coal prices to keep stable

According to Santosh Bagrodia, the Union minister of state for coal, the ministry would not increase the price of coal in the coming fiscal while the prices of other things related to coal mining are on the rise globally.
The coal ministry had revised the price of coal in March 2008.
For Grade A coal of Central Coalfields Limited, the basic price per ton was Rs1,760, which with other charges comes close to Rs 2,500.
