It is reported that Chinese steelmakers hike their export prices of HR sheet and thick plate to over USD 700 per tonne to South Korea recently.
As per report, Shagang provides USD 725 per tonne CFR for its thick plate and USD 720 per tonne for HR sheet to South Korea right now. Well, Puyang steel and Baogang offer USD 700 per tonne for their thick plates. Export prices of some HR sheet with thin gauge reach USD 800 per tonne even.
South Korean steel industry believe China export price will keep rising in the future hence South Korean importers start to purchase form China now.
