Iran, one of the major steel exporter of MENA region
has exported first batch of galvanized sheet to Spain. The nation exported
9,135 MT of galvanized sheets worth Euro 5.72 Mn to Spain.
According to Mr. Naim Emami, Head of the provincial
Industry, Mine and Trade Department, “Iran's Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Province
Automotive Sheet Making Company (CBASCO) exported galvanized sheets to Europe
for the first time. The company has produced 171,150 MT of galvanized sheets
since 21 Mar’18.”
He added, “The Company supplied 58,000 MT of its
products to automobile industry, while 113,000 MT are sent to other industrial
units. The company's production has increased from 300,000 MT to 400,000 MT a
year.”
The Plant Was Built In 2010 In Sefiddasht City Of
Borujen County, In The Southwestern Part Of The Country.
Iran: Steel Export by Major Steel Mills Decrease by 15%
As per the data released by IMIDRO, Major Iranian
steelmakers exported around 4,365,570 MT of Steel during first nine months of
current Persian year (21 Mar-22 Dec’18). Export decreased by around 15% Y-o-Y.
1 - Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC) was by far the
largest exporter during the period, the company exported around 1,664,172 MT
steel during the period. The company registered a downfall of around 16% Y-o-Y.
2 - Mobarekeh Steel Company (MSC) was the second
largest exporter of steel during the period, the company exported 747,587 MT in
9 months, registered a downfall of 5% Y-o-Y.
3 - Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) exported 676,376 MT of
steel during the nine months of current Persian year. Exports were down by 16%
Y-o-Y.
Other major exporters includes South Kaveh Steel
(535,300 MT), Hormozgan Steel Company (HOSCO) (498,743 MT) and Khorasan Steel
(164,731 MT).
