Iran, one of the largest crude steel producer in MENA
has produced 22.53 MnT crude steel in the 11 months of CY’18 as per the data
released by World Steel Organization. Production was up by 17% Y-o-Y against
19.28 MnT produced during the same period of CY’17.
In Nov’18, Iran produced 2.00 MnT of crude steel,
registered a growth of 3% Y-o-Y against 1.95 MnT produced in Nov’17. According
to the Iran’s Vision Plan, total steel production capacity is to hit 55 MnT a
year by 2025, with an expected exports figure of 10-15 MnT.
Iran Finished Steel Production in Current Persian Year
1 - Iran has produced 606,000 MT beam during the eight
months of current Persian year (21 mar-21 Nov’18) by registering a downfall of
9% Y-o-Y against 665,000 MT produced by the nation during the same period of
last Persian year.
2 - Iran has produced 5,000,000 MT rebar during the
current Persian year by registering a growth of 22% Y-o-Y against 4,102,000 MT
produced in last Persian year.
3 - Iran has produced 5,555,000 MT HRC during the
current Persian year by registering a growth of 9% Y-o-Y against 5,087,000 MT
produced in last Persian year. On parallel lines, the nation has produced
1,652,000 MT CRC during the current Persian year by registering a growth of 5%
Y-o-Y against 1,572,000 MT produced in last Persian year.
4 - Iran has produced 909,000 MT coated steel during
the current Persian year by registering a downfall of 10% Y-o-Y against
1,014,000 MT produced in last Persian year. Around 510,000 MT other steel
product was manufactured by the nation in current Persian year.
