As per the data released by IMIDRO, Major Iranian steelmakers
exported around 4,208,817 MT of Steel during first eight months of current
Persian year (21 Mar-21 Nov’18). Export decreased by around 8% Y-o-Y.
Standalone during the eighth month export was noted to be around 369,612 MT,
registered a downfall of 36% Y-o-Y.
Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC) was by far the largest exporter
during the period, the company exported around 1,525,177 MT steel during the
period. The company registered a downfall of around 12% Y-o-Y. Standalone
during the eighth month, export was noted to be around 184,442 up by 9% Y-o-Y.
Major steel products exported by KSC during the eight months were
Slab (615,144 MT), Bloom (525,486 MT) and Billet (384,547 MT).
Mobarekeh Steel Company (MSC) was the second largest exporter
of steel during the period, the company exported 738,420 MT in 8 months,
registered a growth of 2% Y-o-Y. During the eighth month, company exported
20,640 MT.
Major steel products exported by MSC were HRC (436,581 MT), Slab
(263,006 MT) and other finished flat steel (38,833 MT).
Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) exported 661,778 MT of steel
during the eight months of current Persian year. Exports were down by 11%
Y-o-Y.
Major product exported by ESCO were Ingot (188,803 MT), rebar
(113,904 MT), followed by beam (76,907 MT) and wire rod (29,678 MT).
Other major exporters includes South Kaveh Steel (542,500 MT),
Hormozgan Steel Company (HOSCO) (498,743 MT) and Khorasan Steel (163,979 MT).
