Billet average price
started week 38th at USD 891 /mt ex-work including 9% VAT, rose to
USD 917 /mt ex-work including VAT for size 150 mm by Tuesday. Khouzestan Steel
co sold its billet last Saturday at USD 817 /mt ex-work including VAT when base
price at IME was USD 570/mt excluding VAT. South Kaveh Steel co also sold its
billet at IME by last Sunday at USD 851/mt. Transactions were not done in a
competitive condition and demand is not likely to improve in near future.

products
Long products were
downward from last Saturday till Tuesday. By Saturday, average price of sizes
8-32 mm in retail market was USD 1092/mt and reached USD 1084/mt by Tuesday. But
at IME, Esfahan Steel co sold its debar basket at USD 875.5 /mt ex-work
excluding VAT, by Sunday it reached USD 836/mt.
I-beam was sold at IME last Saturday at USD 876 /mt base price but
Sunday sold at USD 794/mt. Actually debar base price at IME dropped by USD 43/mt
and I-beam was down by USD 82/mt within one day. This price trend just add to
market confusion and there is no conformity between prices.
Therefore,
Khouzestan Steel co billet was USD 817/mt, Esfahan Steel co debar was USD 839/mt
and I-beam was USD 794/mt !!!
Flat
products
Imported HRC 2 mm thickness was USD 1357 /mt in Anzali including
VAT and custom duties last Sunday. Domestic mills prices were USD 1298 /mt
ex-work including VAT for Saba Steel co and USD 1238 /mt for Ahwaz Rolling and
Pipe co. Prices stayed stable till Tuesday as Mobarakeh Steel co offer at IME
was canceled. Average price of thickness 3-15 mm dropped from USD 993/mt to USD
971/mt ex-work including VAT.
Oxin co HRP rose from USD 945 /mt to USD 957 /mt ex-work including
VAT, when buying Oxin co HRP is not profitable for traders at the moment.
CRC market was quiet. Mobarakeh Steel co offered its CRC at USD 754/mt
ex-work excluding VAT at IME, but no deal was done.
HDG market was stable. There is a large gap between retail market
price and IME price. As in retail market average price is USD 1745/mt but
latest sale price at IME including VAT has been USD 1119/mt.
