Because of the increasing market demand, Japan's Nippon Steel plans to hike its May & June's export H beam price to Middle East and Australia to USD 800 per tonne CNF or to at least over than USD 750 per tonne CNF.
In Middle East countries, the increasing demand comes from petroleum and construction industry, Nippon Steel expects the H beam demand will reach to three million tons in the next five years. In this January, Japan's export H beam quantity to UAE was 6,207 tonnes which is about 387 tonnes higher than in December 2009.
In Australia, the H beam demand comes from harbor's construction. Nippon Steel is going to have the new export price negotiation with these two areas' buyers around the end of this week or early next week.
