It was reported the European
Commission discussed the possible defensive measures against imported steel on
July 5th, and will take effect as soon as July 17th or 18th.
This defensive measure might cover all steel products, but didn't include
stainless steel hot-rolled plate and railway products, etc.
At present, this defensive measure was mainly conducted with quotas limit,
which will impose tariffs of 25% on excess quantities, and import quotas might
be targeted at the world, rather than fixed countries.
