Billet
Average price of billet started the
week at USD 594.5/mt ex-work including 9%VAT last Saturday for sizes 125 and
150 mm but due to strike of truck drivers which has continued from previous
week, there was no deal in the market. By Wednesday transportation from some
cities started mostly for 6 meter length billet. Then some cargoes from
Neishabour and northern part of the country were transported by trucks. By
Wednesday average price of billet was USD 605/mt and by the afternoon the
market became quiet gain.
Actually trucks are not transporting
cargoes from important cities for steel market such as Ahwaz and Isfahan which
will continue this week due to holidays. Until trucks working became normal,
market would be cautious and waiting for possible declines.
