According
to the report, the Indian steel manufacturers worried that the United States
levied the tariff of 25% on the steel imports. At present, the United States
has submitted 16 items trade relief measures to the Indian steel mills,
including hot-rolled steel products, cold-rolled steel products, customized
length steel plates and corrosion resistant steel products, which were barely
able to be exported to the United States.
The Indian Steel Association indicated that the United States trade measures
were unreasonable. In the meanwhile, the Indian pipeline manufacturers'
willingness to participate in bidding on the US tender of crude oil and gas was
also affected by the tariffs restriction.
