It is reported that some Italian plate mills are looking to increase their prices to EUR 500 per tonne EXW mark for base.
Last week, some producer could reach price ranging EUR 450 per tonne to EUR 460 per tonne base EXW from the previous EUR 410 per tonne to EUR 430 per tonne.
Prices of plates are said to go up again helped by the forthcoming reopening of infrastructures yards during spring time.
Higher slab prices, reaching close to USD 450 per tonne CIF FO Italy, are also pushing Italian plate reroller to look for higher realizations.
