Although some important markets did not react in positive manner to the efforts by scrap sellers, buyers in South East Asia like Japan and Vietnam gave signals of acceptance of higher prices last week.
Scrap is still quite in shortage in EU due to the period of bad weather that was insisting till mid of February. But prices have not jumped mush mainly because Turkish buyers avoided to book important quantities. However as stocks are now dangerously low and general expectation is that, starting next week, new and quite big quantities will be required by the market with consequent price increase.
