Turkish mill, Ekinciler, has announced Turkey will become the net export country of steel flat products in the next five years.
For long product producers in Turkey, they are going to invest in flat products in next few years, especially for manufacturers of rebar and wire rod due to oversupply and soft demand for long products.
According to estimation, the output capacity of Turkish flat product will increase to 22.1 million tons in 2012~2013 from 4.8 million tons in 2007. Conversely, the part of long product will decline to 2.2 million tons. Source:Yieh.com
