Iran based Gol-e-Gohar pelletizing plant is expected to start commercial production in mid 2010 after being commissioned at the end of October 2009 and having commenced trial production a few weeks later.
The plant, located beside Gol-e-Gohar iron ore mine in Sirjan city, has a designed annual capacity of 5 million tonnes making it the largest palletizing plant in Iran.
Construction on the plant started in mid 2005. A total investment of about USD 285 million has been spent for the project.
