With stagnant market and ruinous economy, Taiwan’s rebar prices are continually falling.
It seems that mills now are panic to make a sale at NT$13,000/ton, based on their judgment on short-term market trend and pressures from surplus inventories.
Despite of dropping prices, price for scraps are rebounding and buyers are still waiting and seeing. Mills are now in an awkward predicament dealing with the unbalanced market and likely to make a loss if rebar’ price is below NT$$13,500/ton. Source:Yieh.com
