It’s reported that the US H1 scrap prices
averaged at US$248.5/long ton on May 16th, holding steady from the previous
week.
Among them, the average prices of H1 scraps in Pittsburgh were at US$229.5/long
ton, keeping unchanged; those in Chicago were at US$257.5/long ton, holding
steady; and those in Philadelphia were at US$258.5/long ton, keeping unchanged;
all in comparison with the previous week.
Crude steel output totaled 1.727 million short tons during May 8th to May 14th,
decreasing by 21,000 short tons or 1.2% from the previous month.
