Japan land, infrastructure and transport
(MLIT), in June this year Japan’s construction steel demand is expected to fall
1.6% year on year to 1.75 million tons, but rises nearly 13% month on month,
mainly due to falling demand during the holidays in early May.
According to forecasts in June this year, Japan’s H section demand is about
400,000 tons, down by 1% year on year, an increase of 11% month on month; those
for small bars demand is about 720,000 tons, up slightly by 0.9% year on year,
down by 18% month on month.
