After Promet, which decreased their asking prices by US$105/ton to US$115/ton during last week, Stomana and Helios Metallurgy negatively corrected their prices by US$75-US$95/ton. Due to fluctuating exchange rates, another drop of US$10/ton occurred. Turkish suppliers tried their best to convince customers that prices were already at their bottom.
Offers of rebars done by Turkish producers to Bulgarian purchasers increased by US$40/ton as compared to previous week. Still, they did not succeed attracting buyers. 2 mm to 28 mm rebars from Stomana were priced at US$551/ton to US$570/ton exclusive of 20% VAT. Wire rod by Sidenor was priced at US$577/ton to US$583/ton. 12 mm to 28 mm rebars of over 100 ton by Helios were priced at US$534/ton. 10 millimeters to 32 mm 35 GS grade by Promet was priced at US$511/ton, and 8mm was priced at US$524/ton.
