Where Scrap Will Go in 2010 ?

The cost of scrap went up in recent days: price for scrap from Russia and Ukraine has approached the mark of $ 300/t CFR. This is the current figure, and the market players know there are a lot of factors and events that could influence it.

In frames of current market trend the most probable scenario is likely to be rapid revival of scrap collecting and processing in spring 2010. Decrease of stocks at Russian steel producers could lead to growth of prices for scrap. Simultaneously, already in 2009 a number of restrictions for Russian scrap export has been cancelled.

We invite you to take part in the following discussions:

  • World Trends of Scrap Trade
  • Prices as a Factor of Industry Development
  • Scrap Market: a Consumer versus a Producer
  • Russian Scrap in the Foreign Markets
  • Scrap Collecting in Russia – Quantities and Problems

We’ll have to face a hard year. A year when the price of an error could turn to be extremely high. Along with it there is an opportunity to generate right solution, define optimal tactic and winning strategy of making business in post-crisis facilities. And we do it for you at VI International Annual Forum “Scrap Collecting and Processing 2010 – the only event in Russia, focused exclusively on the only vital material - scrap.

The time of the Forum has been specially selected to embrace the most critical period for signing contracts for CIS scrap supplies, including export contracts. From this point of view it could be quite useful for foreign companies to participate in the Forum both for signing contracts and looking for new Russian partners.

Besides, you get fresh and in-depth analysis of what is going on at the supplier’s market and share opinions on what you can expect for your scrap purchases or any other partnership perspectives in this ever changing market.
