Chinese steel demand to increase in near future - CISA - 02 Dec 09

It is reported that China Iron & Steel Association predicted at a meeting held at Ningbo in Zhejing on November 27th that China steel demand will keep increasing in the Q4 of this year and early 2010.

The news quoted CISA representative speaker said, thanks to the government rescue package for economy, the domestic steel demand has reversed from YoY decline to fairly quick rise which also boosted steel demand and the industrial benefits.

Mr Huang Tianwen director of SinoSteel director said according to China development policies relating to growth of the West, construction of a new countryside and urban rural integration, China steel sector will enjoy a relatively stable environment of development in the next period.

Mr Jia Yinsong with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology warned that the problems such as insufficient structural adjustment and over fast capacity growth still exist and the iron ore distribution order should also be rectified.
