According to United States iron and Steel
Institute (AISI) has announced in December of 2015, United States steel imports
totaled 2.551 million short tons, down by 5% month on month.
Those for finished steel imports were 2.041 million short tons in December, an
increase of 6% month on month to 1.921 million short tons.
Among them, United States imported 259,000 short tons of finished products from
Korea, down by 13% month on month; imported 160,000 short tons from Turkey, an
increase of 9% month on month; imported 95,000 short tons from China, an
increase of 50% month on month.
