It is reported that the price of billet is reportedly to drop by USD 5 per tonne to USD 455 per tonne in Southeast Asia and it has been slacking since mid September from USD 500 to USD 520 per tonne.
Traders and mills believe that because of the increasing price of scrap, the current price might has already hit the lowest point.
According to a mill in Malaysia, market demand is still very week, thus sales could not be pushed up, it will be the right time to lift up prices when demand strengths.
