Japan's steel exports drop in May

According to data released by Japan Iron & Steel Federation (JISF), Japan’s exports of common steel products dropped to 3.45 million tons in May, down by 4% compared to the previous month. 
The total export revenue generated by steel products amounted to ¥303.1 billion, falling by 6.7% year on year. 
The country’s steel exports to Asia decreased by 7% to 2.55 million tons year on year, while shipments to China totaled 481,000 tons, down by 1.3% on yearly basis.
