According to data
released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade,
the country’s iron ore exports totaled 23.65 million tons in May, decreasing by
0.76% from the same month a year ago.
On the annual basis, the export prices on average dropped by 19% to US$27/ton from
the same month a year ago.
During the first five months, the country’s iron ore exports hit 126 million
tons. It is estimated that the total exports will reach 300 million tons this
year.
