According to data
released by Russtat, Russia’s crude steel production totaled 29.4 million tons
in January-May period, increasing by 1.5% year on year.
In the given period of time, the country’s steel product output totaled 25.1
million tons, down by 0.4% year on year.
In May alone, Russia’s crude steel output decreased by 1.5%; its steel product
output dropped by 7.7%, both compared to figures in the same month of 2014.
