According to data released by the Brazilian Ministry of
Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, the country’s exports of iron ore
pellets and iron ore fines totaled 180.8 million tons in January-April period,
increasing by 11.57 million tons or 12% year on year.
During the given month, China was the biggest export destination at 49.81
million tons and the export price was averaged at US$41.3/ton.
Brazil’s exports to Japan totaled 9.408 million tons, with an average price of US$48.1/ton.
