According to Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade
(MDIC) in Brazil, the shipping quantity of iron ore from Brazil in May
decreased to 23.65 million tons, dropping from 23.83 million tons from a month
ago. The export price of iron ore on average dropped by 19% to US$27/ton
compared to the last month, which is a low level. The country’s iron ore
exports to China totaled 12.968 million tons, and the exports to Asia totaled
17.76 million tons.
