According to the latest figures from the Brazil’s foreign trade
department, Brazil's iron ore exports soared by 10.5% to 79.34 million tons in
the first quarter compared to the same period in 2014.
On the annual basis, the average iron ore prices declined by 50.7% to
US$48.6/ton compared to the corresponding period last year.
China was the biggest export destination at 36.44 million tons, with an average
price of US$42.8/ton.
