According to Japan Iron
& Steel Federation (JISF) that Japan’s production output of hot rolled
steel products totaled 8.3 million tons in March, up by 977,000 tons or 13.2%
from a month ago, when it decreased by 2.8% from the same month of a year ago.
On the other hand, Japan's crude steel production totaled 9,286,000 tons in
March, up by 844,000 tons or 10.0% from a month ago.
Japan's production of pig iron totaled 83,898,000 tons in fiscal 2014, up by
89,000 tons or 0.1% from the total of 83,808,000 tons in fiscal 2013.
