According to data released by Russtat, Russia’s
crude steel production totaled 17.8 million tons in January-March period,
increasing by 3.5% year on year.
In the given period of time, the country’s steel product output totaled 15.3
million tons, up by 4.3% year on year.
In March alone, Russia’s crude steel output decreased by 1.1%; its steel
product output rose by 1%, both compared to figures in the same month of 2014.
