China’s iron ore imports from Australia’s
Port Hedland totaled 31.24 million tons in March.
The figure was around 3% higher than the previous month and up by 15% year on
year.
The total iron ore shipments from Australia’s Port Hedland decreased to 36.61
million tons, compared from 34.43 million tons in the same month a year ago.
Port Hedland is used by BHP Billiton, Fortescue Metals Group and Atlas Iron to
ship iron ore cargoes.
