U.S. to lift scrap export price - 5 Aug 09

It is said that owing to the dearth of the scrap supply from Japan, Asian mills have turned their eye onto American market and sought more resources.

Because of the strong demand from China, many Chinese mills have planned to book the order from the U.S.

Some traders estimated that U.S. would probably lift the scarp price by US$10-20/ton in this month, thus the mills who are willing to buy had better book the order within next one or two weeks.
