Brazil's iron ore exports to China drop in August-17 Sep 14

According to data released by Brazil’s Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC), Brazil exported 14.7 million tons of iron ore to China in August, down by 12% year on year. 

The average export prices were at US$60.77/ton FOB, falling from US$78.75/ton from the same month a year ago. The export values generated by iron ore totaled US$897 million, plunging by 32% on the yearly basis.

Besides, the shipments of iron ore went to Japan totaled 2.45 million tons, down by 6% compared to the same months a year earlier.
