It reported that Chinese exporters have hiked HRC offer to Europe for October and November delivery. The quotation now posts at EUR 390 per tonne to EUR 430 per tonne CFR, an increase of EUR 30 per tonne from that of two weeks ago at EUR 390 per tonne to EUR 400 per tonne.
However, we noticed almost no buyer is interested in accepting this offer but continues to import from other regions. Though we have seen some increase in European HRC price, China's materials remain in high level. And another truth is China's materials naturally have a long lead time, which also hampered the buyers from considering the import from China.
European trader said "We simply don't know what the situation would be here in October and November and would prefer to postpone our purchase.”
In the middle June, China's HRC offer to Europe for September and October delivery posted at euro380 per tonne to 390 per tonne, that of CRC and HDG at EUR 430 per tonne to EUR 450 per tonne and EUR 730 per tonne respectively.”
