American rebar market remains sluggish

It is reported that American steel mills have failed to increase the rebar price in May due to weak demand. The current main stream rebar offer still keeps at USD 529 to USD 540 per tonne.

Meanwhile, Mexican steel mills originally proposed to rise price by USD 44 per tonne, however, the current price nevertheless remains changeless and they will decrease the price a little bit shortly because of very few deals.

It is said that although the demand is lower presently, American economy and property market have gradually revived.
